Introduction
SwimScore™ is a way of evaluating the load of a swimming workout, based on a threshold swimming velocity and then the pace done for various work. It is described in this paper.
The implementation below is completely independant, untested, and should be treated as a work in progress/experiment. Do not trust the results. There are currently two assumptions being made in the values below, first is that eP from the paper is and alpha (the decay rate of the exponentially weighted moving average) is 2/25+1 - the same 25 seconds as in xPower on the bike. You can change that 2/+1. Calculations are not updated when you change these values, please reload the page and then change the values. For more information on the motivation behind this, please see the tritalk thread. Questions etc. drop me an email.
Threshold Calculation
Enter your weight, and your time for a 3000 meter TT in the pool, this will then calculate the pace and threshold power as required by SwimScore™
Workout Calculation
Enter your workout below, the number of reps, the number of meters, the swimming time for the interval, and the rest time for the interval. For rests between sets, enter 1 Rep, 0 meters, 0 seconds and just enter the rest value of the number of seconds you rested. The table below will be populated by scores.
Reps | Meters | Seconds | Rest | xPower | Score |
